1. Information We Collect

We collect information needed to provide the Service:

• Account and profile data: name, username, email address, phone number, date of birth, profile photo, bio, and account credentials or sign-in identifiers.
• User content: posts, work reels, photos, videos, comments, messages, job listings, applications, and other content you choose to submit.
• Device and log data: device model, operating system, app version, IP address, device or installation identifiers, diagnostic logs, and security events.
• Usage data: your interactions with features, content, and notifications, plus preferences required to operate the Service.
• Permissions-based data: photos/videos, camera, and microphone data only when you choose a feature that needs them, such as uploading or recording a work reel. You can revoke permissions in device settings.

We do not collect precise location or contacts through the current Work Reel app.

2. How We Use Information

• Provide, maintain, personalize, and improve Work Reel and its account, hiring, social, and messaging features.
• Authenticate users, protect accounts, prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents, and enforce our terms and community rules.
• Display content according to the visibility setting you select and enable interactions with other users.
• Send service messages and notifications, respond to support requests, and meet legal obligations.

3. Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell personal information. We may disclose information as follows:

• Other users and the public: profile information and content according to the audience or privacy setting you select. Messages are shown to their intended participants.
• Service providers: providers that help us operate the Service, such as hosting, media storage, authentication, push-notification, error-monitoring, email, and SMS providers. They process data on our behalf and only for those purposes.
• Legal and safety reasons: when required by law or when reasonably necessary to protect users, the public, or our rights and systems.
• Business transfer: if the Service is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, subject to applicable law.

4. Retention and Deletion

We retain account information and content while your account is active, and only as long as needed for the purposes described here. You can request account deletion in the app or through our public Account & Data Deletion page. We delete or de-identify associated personal data within 30 days of a verified deletion request, unless a longer period is required for legal obligations, fraud prevention, security, or dispute resolution.

5. Your Choices and Rights

• Access and update account information from the app.
• Control the visibility of eligible profile and content data through in-app privacy settings.
• Withdraw optional device permissions in your device settings.
• Request access, correction, export, or deletion of personal data by contacting us.

6. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards, including HTTPS for data in transit, access controls, token-based authentication, and secure credential storage on supported devices. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Children

Work Reel is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will investigate and delete it where required. See our Child Safety Standards.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy when our practices or legal requirements change. We will post the updated version here and update the date above; material changes may also be communicated in the app or by email.
